From Group Chat to Go Time: Our Friends Trip to Andaman

Every friend group has that one person who always says “Let’s plan a trip!” and then… crickets.
This time, we actually did it. A real, full-blown friends trip to Andaman — and not to flex, but it was epic.

So here’s the whole story: the good, the salty, and the sea-splashed.

???? The Planning Phase (a.k.a. Where Most Trips Die)

You know how group trips go — everyone’s excited until it’s time to decide dates and budget.
We had 6 people, 1 spreadsheet, and a ton of indecisiveness.

Solution? We found a ready-made
???? Andaman tour package
that included flights, hotels, transfers, even ferry tickets. It was like plug-and-play travel. No one had to “organize” anything — we just paid and packed.

Honestly, that saved the trip before it even began.

✈️ Arrival: From Urban Chaos to Island Zen

We landed in Port Blair, and the first thing we all said was: “Bro, this air feels clean AF.”
Checked into a sea-facing hotel, dropped bags, and headed straight to Corbyn’s Cove. Chilled there with coconut water and zero phone signal. Pure bliss.

Cellular Jail was emotional and surprisingly impactful. The light and sound show kinda hit us in the feels — made us all low-key proud to be Indian.

???? Ferry = Floating Friendzone (JK, It Was Fun)

The next morning, we hopped on a ferry to Havelock Island. Pro tip: Get window seats — dolphins might just photobomb your ride. Ours did.

We spent 2 nights there. Between Radhanagar Beach sunsets, Elephant Beach snorkeling, and eating grilled fish with sand in our toes, time just flew. No Wi-Fi, no work calls, just vibes.

Also: shoutout to the scuba dive instructors who didn’t judge us for panicking underwater for the first 5 minutes ????

???? Neil Island = Instagram Goldmine

By Day 4, we ferried to Neil Island — way quieter, less commercial, and super aesthetic. We woke up early for sunrise at Sitapur Beach (rare for us), and it was totally worth it.

Neil Island was our slow day: hammock naps, beach volleyball, and a photoshoot where everyone pretended to be a travel influencer. We made fake product ads for sunscreen and coconuts. Don’t ask why.

???? Foodie Moments & Local Laughs

We ate like royalty. Every meal was seafood-heavy — crab curry, butter garlic prawns, fish tikka. Also had an unexpected obsession with banana chips.

Locals were super chill and helpful. One of them even gave us directions using sea turtles as landmarks. (“Go left from where the turtles chill.” I mean, okay.)

???? The Last Day = No One Wanted to Leave

Back in Port Blair, we went souvenir shopping (shells, pearls, fridge magnets) and packed with heavy hearts. Not just because the trip ended — but because we’d finally pulled off a group trip without drama.

???? What We’d Do Again (And What We’d Avoid)

Do again:

  • Book the full package from the start — no fights, no confusion

  • Scuba diving — it’s terrifying for 3 seconds and magical after that

  • Stay 2 nights on Havelock, 1 on Neil — perfect balance

Avoid:

  • Trying to squeeze too much into one day

  • Relying on Google Maps — internet ghosts you

  • Carrying jeans (?? why did we even pack them)

???? Final Verdict?

This wasn’t just a vacation — it was core memory material. Andaman has that rare mix of wild nature, good food, chill vibes, and enough activities to keep things exciting but not exhausting.

If your friend group is stuck in “We should go somewhere” mode, send them the link to this
